Summer schools and short-term opportunities

12 month postgraduate students can spend 2-6 weeks abroad at one of our partner universities. These short-term study abroad opportunities can include a variety of business-related courses, local company visits, as well as cultural elements and language classes. There are a diverse range of options - you could choose to study an intensive set of modules on marketing in northern Europe, or immerse yourself in the culture and language of South America.

Any credit attained as part of a summer school or other short-term study experience is non-transferable and will not be included as part of your academic transcript.

All summer schools charge a fee. You might also be able to apply for a University of Exeter scholarship to help fund it.

Applications from postgraduate students require a letter of support from their dissertation supervisor. If you’re interested, contact the Outbound Team at outbound@exeter.ac.uk for details about the nomination and application process. Please note that different summer schools are aimed at different levels and not all schools advertised may have appropriate opportunities for postgraduates.
