Overview
Karen joined the Business School in 2019 as an Academic Mentor Manager within the Degree Apprenticeship Department.
Currently Karen’s primary focus is as a Senior Lecturer in Leadership and Management on the Senior Leader, Project Management and Investment Operations Specialist Degree Apprenticeships. She alkso currently serves as Programme Director for the Amazon Senior Leader Apprenticeship and was Advanced Teaching Practitioner for the DA department.
Karen also has a senior role in the Centre for Degree Apprenticeships as Senior Apprenticeship Curriculum Lead with responsibility for embedding DICE ; Sustainable Development Goals ;Personal Development; Behaviours & Attitudes across all degree apprenticeships within the University of Exeter.
Karen's career as a lecturer began in 2007, and during this time she has coordinated Leadership and Management Apprenticeships alongside teaching within the management and leadership, business and tourism fields.
Karen has over 20 years’ management experience in the Aviation and Tourism industry and now works closely with the Chartered Management Institute.
She is a Chartered Fellow CMgr FCMI, and CMBE (Certified Management and Business Educator) and is a Senior Fellow with the HEA (SFHEA)
