

Welcome to the Department of Economics
The Economics Department at Exeter is among the top departments in the UK in terms of research quality and teaching. With around 20 faculty members, research specialisms in the department covers a number of areas including economic theory, econometrics, public economics, experimental economics among others with the quality of this research being reflected in publications in leading journals.
The quality of our faculty is also reflected in our teaching programmes. The Teaching Quality Assessment rating our teaching as 'excellent'. In the 2006 National Student Survey, Economics at Exeter ranked joint first in the UK for learning resources and sixth for is average combined scores.
We offer a range of programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels as well as MPhil and PhD research supervision. Our graduate programmes also have ESRC recognition reflecting the high-quality of the MSc programmes and research supervision available at Exeter .
