University of Exeter Business School

International Partnership Students

International Partnership Direct Entry into Year 2

When you join the Business School from your home institution you will have a programme structure set out for you based on what you have already studied.

Key points:

  • All students must study 120 Exeter credits per year.
  • You may take a maximum of 30 credits of modules from the year below but this can only be done in Module Change in September.
  • You can choose 30 credits of modules from other departments not on the list, as long as they do not require any pre-requisites but this will also need to be in September during module change.

Please research your module choices thoroughly now, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to change to a different module later.

Programme Structures

Open your partner institution tab to see the relevant programme structures, as these may be different to the standard programme structure and to those of students from other partner institutions. Familiarise yourself with your individual programme structure.

You will see that your programme is made up of:

  • Compulsory modules - modules you MUST take. Compulsory modules will be automatically added for you.
  • Optional modules - modules you can choose. You can find the optional module list below.

All compulsory modules are either:

  • Condonable - Modules that you do not have to pass to progress to the next year if you have met other progression criteria.
  • Non-condonable - Modules that you MUST pass in order to progress to the next year.

Optional Module Information

Please click here to download your optional module list:

  •

Please note: to add optional modules from the Level below your year, you will need to wait until September.

On the list above, you will see that some modules have rules that connect to other modules:

  • Pre-requisites - If a module has a pre-requisite, it means that module needs to be taken before the one you are interested in.
  • Co-requisites - If a module has a co-requisite, then it has to be taken at the same time as the one you are interested in.
  • Non-requisites - If a module has a non-requisite, then you cannot take both modules as they have similar content.

Some module choices can lead to a proficiency or a minor being added to your degree, for more information, please see this website.

To view more information on any of the modules, please see the StudyGuide

The information slides shared at the presentation about making your module choices are available here:

  •

Current Business School Students going into Year 3 or Year 4 (final year of study)

You will select your modules for the next academic year on SRS via Online Module Selection (OMS). OMS typically takes place at the end of term 2, with a chance to make changes at the start of the new academic year. Please take note of your Year 3 programme structure by checking the information in the relevant partner institution tab above.

If OMS does not allow you to add a module that you wish to take, because the system does not recognise the pre-requisite that you have taken while at your home institution, please let the Hub Team know via email: info.buildingone@exeter.ac.uk
