Overview

Dr Jo Bowler joined the University of Exeter Business School in 2024 as a Research Impact Fellow on the Developing Business Aware Academics project.

Jo is interested in the connection between research and industry and the development of initiatives to translate research ideas and innovations into real-world impact.

In her current role, she works in collaboration with the Chartered Association of Business Schools as well as university and industry partners to identify, develop and evaluate new initiatives that build entrepreneurial mindsets, skills and networks.

Jo has extensive experience in scientific engagement, research and communications in roles across industry, academia and the non-profit sector in the UK and internationally.

Jo previously conducted post-doctoral research in evolutionary biomechanics at the University of Manchester and received her PhD in equine biomechanics from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London.
