Sustainable Futures
About me:
Appointed in January 2023, I am a postdoctoral knowledge exchange research fellow working on developing a sustainable school food landscape for Cornwall. I am currently employed by UoE, based and ESI and working closely with Sustainable Food Cornwall and the Public Health team at Cornwall Council to map out a strategy for sustainable school food which connects schools, caterers and local agroecological food producers.
My PhD theorised and developed an operational and theoretical framework for sustainable school food in England (reflected in school meals and food education practices in primary schools). The interdisciplinary nature of my work facilitated and deepened my interest in sustainable food system transformations as a mechanism for climate mitigation, environmental preservation, and public health promotion.
