Dr Vishak Dudhee

Dr Vishak Dudhee is a Lecturer in Project Management within the Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy at the University of Exeter. His career spans higher education, industry, engineering consultancy, research and innovation, and national engineering leadership, providing a multidisciplinary perspective on project and programme management. His work sits at the intersection of engineering, project management, digital transformation, sustainability, and innovation, with a particular focus on delivering research, innovation, and strategic programmes that create societal, environmental, and economic impact. He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), Member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM), and Member of the Energy Institute (MEI). Holding a PhD in Energy, he combines academic scholarship with practical leadership experience to bridge research, professional practice, and industry engagement. His expertise spans project and programme management, digital transformation, Urban Digital Twins, Building Information Modelling (BIM), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Extended Reality (XR), Cyber-Physical Energy Systems (CPES), and Building Energy Simulation and Optimisation.

Alongside his academic appointment, Dr Dudhee continues to contribute to research, innovation, and external engagement through leadership and advisory roles across the engineering and innovation ecosystem. He has led and supported national and international initiatives advancing engineering innovation, digitalisation, sustainability, resilience, and the transition to net zero, working collaboratively with universities, industry, government, and research organisations. His research and innovation activities have been supported by organisations including Innovate UK and the European Commission. He serves as an Associate Editor for Intelligent Buildings International, reviews for several leading international journals, and acts as an evaluator for research and innovation funding programmes across the UK and Europe, contributing to the advancement of engineering research and innovation at both national and international levels.
