Dr Vishak Dudhee is a Lecturer in Project Management within the Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy at the University of Exeter. A Chartered Engineer (CEng), Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), and Professional Member of the Energy Institute (MEI) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET), he brings a unique blend of academic expertise and industry leadership, equipping students with the skills to manage complex projects in dynamic and technology-driven industries. Holding a PhD in Energy, his teaching focuses on project management methodologies, sustainability, digital transformation, and innovation strategy, bridging theory and practice to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills for leadership roles in an evolving global landscape. Beyond academia, he is the Head of Innovation at V-LAB Ltd, a smart engineering technology and energy consultancy, where he leads projects on energy efficiency, digitalisation, and net-zero transition strategies, integrating Urban Digital Twins, Building Information Modelling (BIM), Extended Reality (XR), Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cyber-Physical Energy Systems (CPES), and Building Energy Simulation and Optimisation. Actively involved in a number of research and innovation projects, his work focuses on the intersection of engineering, emerging technologies, and business strategy, driving innovation in both industry and education. His research on climate resilience, energy efficiency, and digital transformation has been supported by organisations such as Innovate UK and the European Commission. He serves as an Associate Editor for Intelligent Buildings International and is a reviewer for several high-impact journals. Additionally, he is an evaluator for a number of prominent organisations in the UK and Europe, contributing to the assessment of research and innovation funding programmes.
