Overview
I am a Post Graduate Research(PGR) student (Mphil to PhD pathway) at the Exeter Business School. My research is fully funded by University of Exeter Centre for the Circular Economy (UKRI National Interdisciplinary Circular Economy Research Hub). Before starting my academic (PhD) journey, I accumulated 16+ years of professional experience in various functions in Project and Engineering Management, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Contract Management, SCM Advisory, SCM Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) & SCM Analytics. I have executed multimillion dollars Infrastructure and Industrial Construction projects in Energy, Hydrocarbon, Cement and Flood Defence under different functional capacities over the past sixteen years with four organisations. I have always been involved in organisational change initiatives and innovations. That kept me near to academics throughout my professional journey. So having acquired sufficient professional experience, my research enables me to dive deep into the circular economy with a practitioner research approach.

Research
Research interests
I am interested in exploring the Large Capital Projects Value Chain, which includes multidisciplinary areas such as feasibility & economic studies, engineering, procurement, construction, asset maintenance and end-of-life. The circular economy is the core theme I am interested in exploring within the capital project value chain. In my opinion, to enable any change it has to have a technological underpinning and leadership to steer the implementation. Thus, data, technology, leadership and organisation design are other research areas of my interest.
Research projects
- I am working as part of the University of Exeter team on generating a thought-piece on "Developing a vision for the circular economy in flood risk management" for the UK Environment Agency.
