Outreach: working with schools and colleges

Outreach in the Business School

We play an active role both in the South West region and increasingly nation wide through a varied programme of activities. Our outreach events are targeted for students who currently reside in areas within the county who have low progression rates into higher education, working with a variety of ages from Key Stage 2 to Post-16. We hope that through providing these opportunities, students will gain valuable insights into new professions and opportunities available to them. The Business School is committed to recognising the potential of the most talented students from the ‘widest pool’, irrespective of background.

Through our outreach programme, we aim to raise educational and career aspirations as well as encouraging and inspiring an interest in our subject areas:

• Accounting, Business and Management and Economics
• In addition, we also support central outreach activities, in particular the Exeter Scholars programme.
