At the University of Exeter Business School, we want to ensure studying for a Masters remains accessible to the brightest minds of the future, regardless of financial background. This is why we provide over £1 million in postgraduate scholarships.
Specific scholarships for September 2023 are as follows:
Scholarships and Awards
A range of £5,000, £10,000 and full scholarships are on offer.
Postgraduate taught awards are being offered by the following departments:
- Economic
- Finance and Accounting
- Management
You can apply for one of these scholarships if you:
- are classified as an International student for fees purposes (including any EU students required to pay International fees in 2023/24); and
- already hold an offer for an eligible Postgraduate taught degree at the University of Exeter, commencing in September 2023.

All full-time Postgraduate taught degrees in the above areas are eligible, except the following:
- The Exeter MBA, MSc Human Resources Management 24 or 30 months, online programmes, Degree Apprenticeships, MRES programmes, Postgraduate Certificates and Postgraduate Diplomas.

Two scholarships of £12,500 are available to students who have had an application accepted to one of the Business School MSc programmes for September 2023 entry. These will be awarded to two academically gifted candidates resident in the UK or continental Europe, who would not be able to study without this financial assistance.
This scholarship is funded by donations from a Business School alumnus. As part of the funding agreement the awardees will be expected to communicate with and meet the donor during their course.
Please note this scholarship is not available for MRes or PGDip programmes of study.

We are offering one scholarship of £20,000 to students who have had an application accepted to one of the Business School MSc programmes for September 2023 entry. This will be awarded to an academically gifted and talented candidate resident in the UK, who would not be able to study without this financial assistance.
This scholarship is funded by donations from a Business School alumnus. As part of the funding agreement the awardee will be expected to communicate with the donor during their course.
You will need to provide evidence of funding received during your undergraduate degree and submit a Personal Statement.
Please note offer holders on MRES or PgDip programmes or the Exeter MBA are not eligible for this award.
Closing date: 30 June 2023
Awards of £5,000 are available to International students with an offer to study on one of the following programmes for 2023 entry:
- MSc Sustainable Business Management
- MSc Sustainable Business Management: Tourism
- MSc Sustainable Business Management: Environment
Application deadline: 21st April 2023
Awards of £5,000 (MSc students) and £750 (single module students) are available to Home and International students with an offer to study the MSc International Business (Online) programme of study in January, May or September 2023.
Application deadline for May 2023 entry: 4th May 2023
Please note this award is only open to offer holders of online study programmes.
We are pleased to offer graduating University of Exeter students completing their degree in summer 2023 and progressing directly to a standalone taught Masters degree (eg MA; MSc; MRes; MFA) with us in 2023 a scholarship towards the cost of their tuition fees.
We are pleased to offer University of Exeter alumni beginning a taught Masters degree (eg MA; MSc; MRes; MFA) with us in 2023 a scholarship towards the cost of their tuition fees.
The scholarship is available to any University of Exeter graduate who has completed one of the following:
- Graduated from an undergraduate or postgraduate degree awarded by the University of Exeter
- Completed an inbound Study Abroad semester/year at the University of Exeter
- Completed a credit-bearing University of Exeter International Summer School
Current University of Exeter students completing their programme this year and progressing direct to another standalone University of Exeter degree programme are eligible for an equivalent award - see Class of 2023 Progression Scholarship.

Scholarships are not awarded in conjunction with other scholarships – in the event of you being eligible for more than one award the greater award will be given.
