Scholarships

At the University of Exeter Business School, we want to ensure studying for a Masters remains accessible to the brightest minds of the future, regardless of financial background.

We provide £1 million in postgraduate scholarships. Our prompt payment award is worth £1000 towards the cost of your tuition fees. This will be automatically awarded to students who confirm their place within the deposit deadline outlined in their offer letter.

Scholarships are not awarded in conjunction with other scholarships – in the event of you being eligible for more than one award the greater award will be given (this does not include the prompt payment award which applies to all students).

Specific scholarships for September 2021 are as follows:

Merit-based Scholarships

A range of full, £10000 and £5000 scholarships are on offer in the following subject areas:

  • Accounting
  • Finance
  • Economics
  • Business and Management

All full-time Postgraduate taught degrees in the above areas are eligible, except the following:

  • Ineligible Postgraduate taught programmes – Exeter MBA, MRES programmes and Postgraduate Diplomas.

Two scholarships of £12500 are available to students who have had an application accepted to one of the Business School MSc programmes for September 2021 entry. These will be awarded to two academically gifted and talented candidates resident in the UK or continental Europe, who would not be able to study without this financial assistance.

This scholarship is funded by donations from a Business School alumnus.

The scholarship requires you to have an English language level of IELTS 7.0 with no section less than 6.0, or equivalent. You will need to provide evidence of funding received during your undergraduate degree. For more information please see our Funding Database.

How to apply
The closing date for this award is 30 June 2021 and students will be informed of the outcome by 31st July 2021.

One scholarship of £20,000 is available to students who have had an application accepted to one of the Business School MSc programmes for September 2021 entry. This will be awarded to an academically gifted and talented candidate resident in the UK, who would not be able to study without this financial assistance.

This scholarship is funded by donations from a Business School alumnus.

*Please note Offer holders on MRES programmes or the Exeter MBA are not eligible for this award*

Current Exeter students and alumni 

In recognition of the outstanding contribution our students and alumni make to the university we are pleased to offer Progression Awards of 10% off the full-tuition fee (whether UK or International) to those enrolling on a Masters programme in September 2021.
