Overview

Thaer Alhalabi is a lecturer (assistant professor) in Finance and Accounting at the University of Exeter Business School. He obtained his PhD in Banking and Finance from Loughborough University before joining the University of Exeter in October 2021. He also has practical experience in the corporate field as he held a position of financial manager prior to his PhD. His research covers a variety of topics related to financial institutions and corporate finance. His work has been published in top academic journals such as the Financial Markets, Institutions, and Instruments (FMII) and International Journal of Finance and Economics (IJFE). Thaer accepts PhD students in the area of banking and corporate finance.
