Overview

Dr. Jiali Yan is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Finance and Accounting at the University of Exeter Business School. She obtained her Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance and Master of Research degree in Finance with Distinction from Lancaster University Management School.

Her primary field of research is corporate finance, with a current research focus on corporate social responsibility, climate finance, corporate disclosure, and emerging markets. Her research has been presented at major international conferences, including the annual meetings of the European Finance Association, SFS Cavalcade Asia Pacific, and American Accounting Association, among others.

Her work has won the Most Promising Project Award at the ESRC-NWSSDTP Workshop and the Semi-Finalist of the FMA Best Paper Award for Corporate Finance and appeared in the research paper series of CEPR. She has published to date in international peer-review academic journals such as the Journal of Accounting Research, and she also contributed to the book chapter of professional publications by the key publisher Springer
