About me:
Yang Gao joined the University of Exeter Business School as a Lecturer in Finance in September 2023. He received his PhD in Finance from the University of Birmingham in July 2023.
His research focuses on empirical corporate finance, corporate governance, and sustainability. He examines how regulatory shocks, information environments, and stakeholder pressures shape corporate behaviour and economic outcomes.
His research has been published in leading academic journals, including The Accounting Review, and presented at major international conferences, such as the American Finance Association (AFA) Annual Meeting and the China International Conference in Finance (CICF).
