Dr Yao Chen

Yao Chen is a Lecturer in Finance at the University of Exeter Business School and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He holds a PhD in Finance from Warwick Business School.

Yao’s research focuses on behavioural finance, empirical asset pricing, and sustainable finance. His work has been published in the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and the Journal of Financial Intermediation, and presented at major international conferences. His research has received funding from the British Academy and attracted wider media attention, including coverage in MarketWatch.

Yao serves as a reviewer for leading finance journals, including the Review of Financial Studies and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. He also serves on the Scientific Committee of the Global Research Alliance for Sustainable Finance and Investment (GRASFI) and the Programme Committee of the Exeter Sustainable Finance Conference.
