I am an interdisciplinary researcher working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate on the EICDT Legacy Project, which investigates how doctoral researchers in the Centre for Doctoral Training in Environmental Intelligence have approached interdisciplinary working, along with the methodologies and ethical questions that run across the Centre's various PhD projects.
I have recently submitted my own PhD in Environmental Intelligence, having joined the CDT in 2021. My thesis, "Mobility (In)Justice: Colonial Technologies and Contemporary Transportation Politics in Mexico City", develops the concept of infrastructural taxation to examine how urban infrastructure shapes inequality through everyday mobility. It combines ethnographic fieldwork and interviews with large-scale computational analysis of historical texts, as well as spatial network analysis.
