Sue’s career has been varied within the NHS since 1991, with roles including project and people management, completing health management qualifications with the CMI, followed by training to be a Radiographer as a mature student. Sue has experienced the challenges of juggling work, life and studying and being proud of the achievements that studying brings.
Since practicing as a MRI Specialist Radiographer she has worked within the private health sector as well as the NHS. Being a registered healthcare professional, Sue understands the importance of continuing personal and professional development and has been teaching and mentoring students during her career.
Sue joined the University of Exeter in 2019 to continue teaching and mentoring undergraduates as well as degree and master degree apprentices with Medical Imaging and joined the Business school in 2023 to continue to do so with management apprentices. Sue continues to practice MRI and is also a Reflective Practice Assessor and Practice Educator.
As an Academic Mentor, Sue is passionate about supporting apprentices throughout their learning journey, whilst guiding them through building their portfolio and achieving their goals.
