Shuvashish is a PhD candidate and a Postgraduate Teaching Associate at the University of Exeter Business School. Supervised by Dr. David Dose and Dr. Mario Schaarschmidt, his PhD research in Marketing explores the effectiveness of promotional strategies, specifically analysing consumer responses to monetary incentives and their impact on purchasing behaviour and product usage.

Since 2022, Shuvashish has been teaching seminars at the University of Exeter Business School. Modules include:

Before joining the PhD programme, Shuvashish accumulated eleven years of corporate experience across multinational and local companies in Bangladesh, spanning the logistics, telecommunications, and digital media industries. His expertise lies in marketing, digital media, business development, and strategic management, with a focus on digital transformation and diversifying revenue streams. His contributions have revitalised brands in the digital age and opened new avenues for growth. In his most recent role, Shuvashish led the sales and marketing division at The Daily Star, Bangladesh’s largest English news brand, where his marketing initiatives earned esteemed accolades such as the Asian Media Awards and South Asian Digital Media Awards from WAN-IFRA (World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers).
