About me:

Rossana joined the University of Exeter in 2019, after nearly 20 years of lecturing at the University of Plymouth. She is currently Programme Director for the MSc in International HRM and management lead for the Flexible Combined Honours Programme. She is also Mental Health Champion for the ESE Faculty.

 

She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Certified Management & Business Educator.

 

Prior to working in academia, she worked in the field of HRM both in Brussels and in Italy.

 

She received her Ph.D. in Business and Management from the University of Plymouth, with a thesis focussed on exploring the HRM policies and practices of Finnish MNCs in Italy, aiming at identifying the inter-play between country-of-origin and host-country effect.

 

She had previously gained her MAHRM degree in Trieste, Italy.

 

Her HRM research focuses on issues related to IHRM policy transfer and contextual impacts of cultural and institutional backgrounds of PC and HC on HRM systems across countries. Her educational research focuses around the areas of decolonising the business curriculum and the development of reflexivity in university students.

 

She is a book reviewer for CIPD, OUP and SAGE.
