Mayank Jain is a doctoral researcher at the University of Exeter Business School, specialising in the circular economy, net-zero transitions, and sustainable infrastructure systems. His research applies systems thinking to explore how material-focused circular innovation (MFCI) can be embedded within public infrastructure and collaborative public–private supply chain networks (CPPSCNs). By analysing material flows across the asset lifecycle, his work develops frameworks to enhance resource productivity, strengthen carbon governance, and create long-term value across infrastructure ecosystems.

Alongside his research, Mayank contributes to executive education as an industry expert, delivering sessions on sustainable supply chains, circular economy strategies, and infrastructure innovation. He draws on over 16 years of international consulting experience with organisations such as Engineers India Limited, Fluor, CEMEX, and DEFRA, where he led large-scale capital projects, developed procurement strategies, and negotiated high-value contracts across energy, petrochemical, and infrastructure sectors.

He holds an MSc in Supply Chain Management (Distinction, Aston University), a PGDM in Strategy (Gold Medal, IMT Ghaziabad), and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation (Silver Medal, RGPV Bhopal). His professional qualifications include the CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice, Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA), full membership of CIPS (MCIPS), and membership of Beta Gamma Sigma.
