Ipek Mumcu is an Assistant Professor in Economics at the University of Exeter Business School. She joined the University of Exeter Business School in 2019 after completing her Ph.D. in Economics at the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER) at the University of Essex. Her research focuses on the role of education in skill accumulation in early childhood with an emphasis on the effects of cognitive and non-cognitive skills on academic outcomes. Her research has been published in academic journals such as American Economic Review and Review of Economics and Statistics.
