Dorcas Nduakoh is a PhD Candidate in Accounting at the University of Exeter. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from the University of Cape Coast, a Master’s in Accounting from Xiamen University and a Master of Research in Management from the University of Exeter. Professionally, she has completed all examination requirements for the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana certification.
Dorcas is primarily interested in empirical accounting research with a strong focus on environmental and social accounting, corporate misconduct, auditing and financial reporting. Motivated by the prevalence of employee welfare in corporate sustainability efforts, her doctoral dissertation examines social issues that affect employee welfare in the workplace. Additionally, she has also built a strong research network, some of whom she has collaborated with on various projects. Accordingly, she already has a publication in Accounting & Finance and a rich pipeline of high-potential working papers targeted at top-tier journals.
Beyond research, Dorcas has extensive experience in teaching accounting and finance courses at the university level. She is passionate about creating a collaborative and engaging teaching environment and is dedicated to mentoring young people to support them in their academic and professional journeys.
