Chnar Solae is an experienced mentor and educator specialising in apprenticeship development, coaching, and quality assurance in higher education. With a strong background in civil engineering and academic mentoring, Chnar is dedicated to guiding students and professionals in their career and skill development.

 

Currently serving as an Academic Mentor & Internal Quality Assurer at the University of Exeter – Business School, Chnar provides mentorship and training to apprentices in managerial degree programs, developing tailored learning resources, assessing portfolios, and ensuring alignment with apprenticeship standards. Previously, as a Lecturer and Academic Mentor in the University of Exeter’s Engineering Department, Chnar played a key role in curriculum development, student guidance, and industry collaboration.

 

Chnar has extensive experience in training, assessment, and personal development, including designing structured induction programs, delivering reflective writing workshops, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards. As an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), Chnar plays a key role in maintaining academic integrity and mentoring fellow academic staff.

 

Passionate about professional development and inclusion, Chnar led initiatives such as the Women in Engineering Network and contributed to Wellbeing, Inclusion, and Culture Committees, advocating for a supportive and equitable working environment. With a commitment to mentoring, coaching, and lifelong learning, Chnar continues to drive excellence in education, supporting students, apprentices, and professionals in achieving their full potential. Chnar brings a unique blend of engineering knowledge, academic leadership, and a commitment to inclusivity and professional growth.
