Miss Clare Hearn (She / her)

Innovation Technology and Entrepreneurship

Clare is Senior Lecturer on the Degree Apprenticeships programmes, joining Exeter in 2023.

 

She has a mixed background in both industry and academia. Before becoming a full time academic, she was a highly experienced project manager working with the cultural sector, creative industries and HE. She has a particularly strong background in the museums and galleries sector, supporting sustainable development and inclusive practices.

 

Clare was co-founder of an award-winning experience design company which delivered a breadth of consultancy and live projects throughout the cultural, corporate and community sectors, in addition to designing and delivering bespoke training contracts for senior leaders in creative organisations.

 

Prior to joining Exeter, Clare designed and led an international management MA programme, supporting professionals to develop their creativity and to embed sustainable and inclusive design into their management and leadership practice for which she recieved an Innovation in Learning and Teaching award.

 

Clare is passionate about working with individuals to bring a combination of criticality, creativity and a flair for innovation to their leadership practice.
