Mr Aurel Kucani

About me:

Aurel joined the University of Exeter Business School in 2008. He is a Senior Lecturer in Finance & Accounting and currently serves as Director for BSc Finance Programme with three pathways in Investment Banking, Data Science and Business Management. Previously, Aurel served as Director for Undergraduate Accounting Programmes, as Pastoral Tutor for the Business School, Senior Tutor and Advanced Teaching Practitioner for Finance & Accounting Department.

Aurel has extensive experience in developing, managing, and delivering courses to specialists and non-specialists. He has taught Accounting and Finance courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at University of Exeter, and intensive courses at Nanjing University of Finance and Economics in China. 

Aurel has received over fifteen teaching awards for the continued, exceptional contribution to teaching excellence, for impact as programme director and for sustained dedication to enhancing student experience. Aurel is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a Certified Management and Business Educator awarded by the Chartered Association of Business Schools. He is a Member of the Society for Research into Higher Education, and a member of British Accounting and Finance Association.
