Rory Murphy is an interdisciplinary researcher and PhD candidate in Management Studies at the University of Exeter Business School. His research explores how smart home devices (SHDs) disrupt established home privacy expectations, and, how developers can minimise their ethical harms through responsible, ethical design. His work focuses on generating research impact beyond academia and uses industrial partner collaborations to develop new, industry-oriented public engagement research methods.
