Business Strategy and Marketing
Rose joined the University of Exeter Business School in 2021. She is Module Convenor for the MSc International Business Project and Cross-Cultural Management modules, and also teaches on Fundamentals of Marketing.
Prior to joining the University of Exeter, Rose taught at the University of Plymouth and was a Module Leader for two degree programmes at University of Plymouth International College. She also taught on a pre-Master’s programme, introducing students to business research and the wider business environment, as well as teaching a module focused on sustainable tourism.
Rose has a long-standing interest in sustainable business practices, corporate social responsibility and slow tourism. These interests have been shaped by her professional experience, her connection with the natural environment and her broader approach to responsible and sustainable business.
Before entering higher education, Rose managed her own hospitality business for four years. Prior to this, she spent 13 years working as a Systems Administrator for a large multinational corporation. Her responsibilities included maintaining management information systems, developing backup strategies and managing a day-to-day information retrieval service. She also contributed to a major international relocation project involving the transfer of a manufacturing plant from the UK to the Czech Republic.
Her combination of academic, entrepreneurial and multinational corporate experience informs her teaching and her particular interests in international business, sustainability and responsible management.
