Dr Pingfei Jiang
Senior Lecturer
Innovation Technology and Entrepreneurship
Dr Pingfei Jiang is a Senior Lecturer in Design and Innovation at INDEX at the University of Exeter’s Business School. His research interests include product functional modelling, data-driven design, sustainable design and IP. His research addresses topics related to engineering design innovation, especially in the early stages, to support product innovation and development.
Before joining the University of Exeter, Pingfei worked at Kingston University London as a Lecturer in Engineering Design. At Kingston, his role involves leading the Institutional of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) Design Challenge, taking module leaderships of the MSc Programme Advanced Product Design Engineering and Manufacturing.
Pingfei is also a Chartered Engineer (CEng), a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a member of the Design Society. He completed his PhD in Design Engineering from Imperial, MSc in Advanced Mechanical Engineering from Imperial and BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sheffield.
