About me:
Lisa is the Director of Business School Apprenticeship Programmes, leading the wide range of apprenticeship programmes delivered by the Business School, across diverse subject areas including leadership, management, HR, accounting, finance and banking. She is also the Leadership & Management Executive Education Portfolio Lead, leading the development of professional education programmes for leaders and managers. She role-shares as the Department of Management Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Director, collaborating to create an inclusive environment within the department. She has previously held roles such as Deputy Head of Department of Management, programme director on the Senior People Professional apprenticeship and the MSc International Business (online) programmes, and Departmental Research Ethics Officer. She also leads modules on the People Professional and Digital and Technology Solutions Specialist apprenticeship programmes. She originally joined the Business School in 2018 as an Academic Mentor, supporting apprentices with creating their portfolios of work-based evidence for the Senior Leader Masters Degree Apprenticeship programme.
She has a mixed background in both industry and academia. She is a senior Human Resources professional, with specialist experience in the areas of HR systems, analytics, organisational change and reward. She has held positions in the higher education and third sectors, and has previously been a director of a multi-academy trust. Her PhD is in philosophy and she has previously held both teaching and research positions in this area. Her research interests centre upon the application of ethical theory to business and leadership challenges.
She is passionate about the application of learning in the workplace and ethical approaches to HR and leadership.
