Dr Joseph Kimaro

Joseph Modest Kimaro is a sustainability scholar who focuses on sustainability within the business field. He interrogates how businesses integrate sustainability across their ecosystems to enhance positive impact. This currently includes project management, tourism, social entrepreneurship, and supply chain management.

Before joining Exeter Business School in May 2024, Joseph held several academic positions at Solent University and the University of Southampton. His roles as a research assistant at the University of Southampton and University of Surrey where he worked on various research projects like the Zero Carbon Aviation Project and the Circular Returns Project respectively, highlight his contributions to sustainability research.

He holds a PhD in Business Studies and Management from the University of Southampton and a Master of Science in International Transport and Logistics from the University of Dar es Salaam Business School. Joseph currently teaches Globalisation and Internationalisation (BEP3030).
