Dr Jin Ding is a Research Fellow at the University of Exeter Business School, working on DECHI—Digitally Enabled Circular Healthcare Innovation, a EPSRC programme led by Professor Fiona Charnley with partners at the Universities of Exeter, Sheffield, and Cambridge. Collaborating with industry and NHS Trusts, Jin contributes to build the MedTech evidence base—developing a taxonomy-led data search, pooling and analysis methodology across diverse device use cases to quantify and visualise the environmental, economic, and social benefits of circular innovation, and to identify digitally enabled pathways that support reuse, reprocessing and resource recovery.

Her broader research spans the circular economy, health policy, and innovation, with a focus on sustainable medical devices and pharmaceuticals. She has led mixed-methods studies on health regulation, market dynaics and patient access, contributing evidence to public policy. Jin works closely with patient organisations, policy-makers, and industry partners.
