Emma is a Fellow of the ACCA, having completed her professional training in 2007. She spent her early career working in varied roles within professional practice before moving into a commercial role and subsequently working as a Finance Director.
In 2021, Emma joined the University of Exeter as an adjunct lecturer delivering finance modules on Leadership and Management Degree Apprenticeships before joining as a full time Senior Lecturer in 2024. Emma currently delivers accounting modules on the Accounting and Finance Manager Degree Apprenticeship, the Business Finance module on the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship and the Leading High Performing Organisations module on the Senior Leader Degree Apprenticeship.
