About me:
Edvard Glücksman's work focuses on the relationship between organisations and the environment. As a Senior Lecturer within the Business School's Sustainable Futures unit in Cornwall, he teaches undergraduate modules that connect management and organisational theory to best practice environmental and social sustainability actions.
For example, he leads the Business Field Trip module (BEP3090), which uses Dundee and Edinburgh as a case study in circular economy, sustainable innovation and regional development, connecting students to local businesses, political leaders and flagship sites.
Edvard also leads and supports executive education programmes designed to offer professionals cutting-edge training in climate and sustainability science, and to apply key concepts to their everyday practice and to their organisation's broader strategy. He has previously worked with large global companies (>100,000 employees) as well as regional SMEs across the UK South West, and is currently Programme Director on the Sustainable Solutions Leadership Programme (SSLP), delivered to Capgemini UK.
Finally, Edvard is Academic Lead on Future17 (BEP3172), a unique module led by the University of Exeter and delivered in partnership with QS and a growing consortium of global universities. Working in groups, Future17 students join forces with colleagues from across the planet to tackle challenges issued by businesses and NGOs based anywhere in the world. All the challenges relate to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and, at the end of the module, students pitch their solutions live to stakeholders and are assessed on the quality of their work, the plausibility of their proposed actions and the professionalism of their delivery.
