Cécile Emery joined Exeter Business School in May 2019 as a Senior Lecturer in Leadership. Previously, she has held posts at the University of Surrey, University of Greenwich and London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE). Her research uses advanced social network techniques - exponential random graphs and longitudinal network analysis - to study relationships in the workplace and, more precisely, the relationship that leaders develop with their followers. Cécile has published her work in outlets such as the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Organization Science, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Social Networks.

 

As an educator and researcher, she has received several awards and prizes, including the 2022 Best 40-under-40 MBA Professors by Poets&Quants Magazine, 2016 Shortlisted for Supervisor of the Year at the University of Greenwich, 2013 Teacher Excellence for the Department of Management London School of Economics & Political Sciences (LSE), 2011 Winner of the Teaching Award for Organisational Behaviour Group at the LSE.
