Stephanie Bond
Senior Lecturer, Professional Practice
Not Known
Stephanie joined the University of Exeter Business School in 2019 and works as a Senior Lecturer in Professional Practice on the Degree Apprenticeship Programmes for Finance and Senior Leader Apprenticeship. She has also worked as an Academic Mentor.
Stephanie has worked within post-16 education for over 20 years and held management and teacher education roles for many of these. Her specialism is English and Applied Linguistics with a particular focus on embedding literacy and numeracy into apprenticeship programmes.
Prior to working at the university, she managed a team of consultants and worked as a Development Adviser on the Quality Improvement Agency (QIA) “Skills for Life Improvement Programme”. This programme advised work-based learning providers on the strategy and delivery of a whole organisational approach to literacy and numeracy. The emphasis was on implementing a continual cycle of self-improvement thereby leading to increased levels of achievement and satisfaction. One of the providers she worked with directly was used as a QIA case study to showcase achievement in numeracy and was selected as an Ofsted good practice example.
Prior to teaching, Stephanie worked in the banking sector in London at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in the Office of the General Counsel.
Away from her desk, Stephanie is a volunteer ranger for Devon Wildlife Trust and responds to council planning applications for Exeter Cycling Campaign.
