Karen joined the Business School in 2019.
Karen's career as a lecturer began in 2007, and during this time she has coordinated Leadership and Management Apprenticeships alongside teaching within the management and leadership, business and tourism fields.
Currently Karen’s primary focus is as a Senior Lecturer in Professional Practice on the Senior Leader and Investment Operations Specialist apprenticeships where Karen is Programme Director for the Amazon Senior Leader Apprenticeship programme.
Karen also has a senior role in the Centre for Degree Apprenticeships as Senior Apprenticeship Curriculum Lead with responsibility for embedding DICE ; Sustainable Development Goals ;Personal Development; Behaviours & Attitudes across all degree apprenticeships within the University of Exeter.
Karen has over 20 years’ management experience in the Aviation and Tourism industry and now works closely with the Chartered Management Institute.
She is a Chartered Manager CMgr MCMI, and CMBE (Certified Management and Business Educator) and is a Senior Fellow with the HEA (SFHEA)
