Overview

I have an extensive background in law, focusing on: business law; criminal; family and child welfare and have been teaching for over 25 years in both further and higher education. I have taught at many different levels including on professional, degree and apprenticeship programmes. I have previously won awards for ‘inspirational teaching’ and ‘outstanding student support’ and have won the Plymouth University SSTAR Award for ‘Most Dedicated Dissertation/Project Supervisor (Faculty Winner)’. I am also a qualified integrative psychotherapist and passionate about teaching and life-long learning and about inspiring, supporting and helping to develop the next generation of business and legal professionals. 

Administrative responsibilities:

I am the Academic Mentor Manager & Interim Director of Education for the Degree Apprenticeships within the Business School.

My role is to enusre that apprentices are supported throughout their time with us and to enusre that the team of academic mentors guide them through building their portfolio and achieving success in their End Point Assessments
