Overview

Cleofe Board initially joined the Business School as part of the Management Team designing modules for the  Senior Leadership Degree Apprenticeship and as an academic mentor. Currently, Cleofe is a lecturer in the Degree Apprenticeship Department, leading The IT in Investment Operations and Professional Development modules for the Investment Operations Specialist Programme.  She has also taught on the University of Exeter Pre Summer School and is a personal tutor on the Exeter MBA 

Cleofe has over 23 years of experience in the financial market data industry, where she held various quality, IT project & programme management, along with IT system management roles.  She has worked for leading market data vendors Reuters and Refinitiv.  She left her last role responsible for EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) real-time stock exchange feed systems at Refinitiv in 2018 to join the Business School.  She is also a company director. 

Her specialist areas of knowledge are in financial market data, predominantly Fixed Income and Derivatives, as well as management, professional development, IT programme management and data delivery. Cleofe also has a strong interest in the impact that the 4th industrial revolution is having on how organisations develop.

Teaching

Cleofe is passionate about supporting students so they can make the most of their education and immediately add value and create positive impact back into their workplace. She is committed to exploring innovative ways to engage students in their learning and discovery, with the goal being to create adaptable and resilient communities.  Hence, through her study for a postgraduate qualification, Cleofe has also developed an interest for research in Education and Technology.
