I joined the Business School in November 2020, as an academic lecturer  (degree apprentices mentor) following a 22-year career in financial services.

I have been promoted to Lecturer in Finance / Academic Mentor Quality Assurance Lead for the Financial Apprenticeship programme.

My previous roles are predominantly in leadership in retail banking, I have also worked as a coach and mentor with apprentices. I’m passionate about supporting people and ensuring that they can be the best version of themselves that they can.

Career

In the 22 years I worked within a retail bank  I progressed through the ranks from cashier to branch manager. For the last 10 years in the bank I managed multiple branches and teams. I was also actively involved in projects within the community and led the citizenship adgenda for the South West of England engaging colleagues to take part, support events and charities to help make a difference in their communities helping to raise over £400k.
