Thaer Alhalabi is a lecturer in Finance and Accounting at the University of Exeter Business School. He obtained his PhD in Banking and Finance from Loughborough University before joining the University of Exeter in October 2021. He also holds a practical experience in accounting as he worked as a senior accountant in Pine Tree Company for Textile Manufacturing (Nike) prior to his PhD. His research covers a variety of topics related to financial institutions and corporate finance. His work has been published in top academic journals such as International Journal of Finance and Economics and currently have different papers undergoing the publication process.
