Monica is a Postgraduate Researcher in Organisation Studies. She is investigating High Functioning Autism (HFA) in the workplace. She is particularly interested in understanding existing barriers in organisations that are hampering individuals with HFA to successfully attain and retain employment and how these barriers can be removed to enable these individuals to experience positive and fulfilling careers. She is also willing to explore how HFA is perceived within organisations (as a disability or as talent) and whether this perception might lead to different integration routes of these employees into organisations.
Monica graduated in Psychology from the University of Madeira (Portugal) and holds a MSc in Advances in Research and Treatments in Psychopathology and Health from the University of Valencia (Spain) and a MSc in Human Resource Management from the University of Exeter.
