Overview

Dr Mihaela Bishop is a Deputy Program Director BSc Business and Management and Lecturer in Marketing at our Business School.

She completed her PhD in Marketing in 2018 and has eight years’ experience lecturing in Marketing on degree and masters level programmes. She has a consistent track record of excellent teaching, employing a variety of innovative teaching techniques designed to enhance the learning process. In addition to her role as Senior Academic Tutor for the Management Department in the Business School, Dr Bishop is also currently engaged in designing, developing and delivering online modules for the MSc Marketing (Online) and coordinating the Senior Leader MBA Degree Apprenticeship.

Overseas visits

Dr Bishop often visits Taiwan and China to speak to prospective students about what it is like to study at the University of Exeter. Her marketing and research skills modules are usually very popular with students from these two countries.

During her visits Dr Mihaela Bishop often presents to university students on foundation courses to give them a flavour of what it is like to live and study in Exeter. She will talk about what the university and the Business School has to offer, the support available for students who have English as a second language and the exciting research and activities happening in the School. She can also talk about what life is like for an international student on campus and give an overview of the eateries, markets and social activities on offer in the City.

Dr Bishop has experience of working as a Marketing Consultant in the UK and works closely with large corporations to deliver Degree Apprenticeship programmes. She can therefore offer helpful advice on the employment market and career prospects in the UK.
