Before joining the University of Exeter in 2020, Arlan Brucal was a Research Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment – London School of Economics and Political Science.

Arlan studies topics in environmental economics, international trade and industrial organization. He is particularly interested in evaluating climate change mitigation and adaptation policies as they relate to sustainable development goals.

His work employs micro-econometric methods. He recently started interdisciplinary work with researchers outside economics such as epidemiology, climate/atmospheric science, hydrology, and sociology.
