Ann moved to the Business School Careers team in Sept 2012 where her responsibility now involves, promoting and coordinating the year in industrial placements for undergraduate Business School students. The role includes liaising closely with national and local employers, who want to provide placement schemes for students. Ann works with students, to ensure that they are equipped with the skills that employers value most highly and ultimately, promoting their employability through widening their practical experience in the business environment.

In June 2005 Ann first joined the Business School Centre for Leadership Studies to work on an ESF funded Inspire project to help promote women into Board positions.  Following this, she became the Executive Education & IoD Programme Manager which involved supervising a team who supported the Professional Network of Affiliates and Fellows, Professional Development Short Courses, MA in Leadership, and Customised Programmes.

During this time Ann also managed the prestigious Institute of Directors Chartered Director Programme franchise for the South West, supporting all regional CEOs, Owner Managers and MDs towards gaining the IoD Diploma in Company Direction, accredited by the IoD in Pall Mall, London. Ann has worked with various levels of management, business associations and committees, along with running a variety of professional development events across the region and within the University of Exeter Business School.

Ann also studied Fine Art and Art Therapy to continue with her interest in art and voluntary work.

Prior to joining the Business School Ann held positions in organisations such as British Telecom, Environment Agency, Committees and Centrax Ltd, Turbine Components, Commercial (now MB Aerospace).
