In a period of rapid economic, technological and societal change we define ourselves by the quality, relevance and distinctiveness of our educational offer. We aim to be known for our research informed teaching which means our graduates are not only highly employable but well equipped to lead responsibly and sustainably in a rapidly changing world.
Our vision is to be a lifelong partner in business education, developing exceptional professionals who are prepared to succeed and lead at every stage of their careers. Through research-informed innovative teaching, and flexible global pathways, we will equip learners, from undergraduate study to executive education and beyond, with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to drive responsible and sustainable transformation in organisations and society.
Digital innovation and artificial intelligence will be integral to our transformation. We will ensure that all students develop the knowledge, skills and judgement required to work confidently and responsibly with both established and emerging technologies, and that our teaching practices, assessment design and learning environments reflect the realities of contemporary professional life. At the same time, we will adopt sustainable and efficient models of delivery that protect academic quality while enabling growth and diversification.

Transformative Learner Outcomes
Graduates of the Business School will be recognised as among the best prepared for the employment market and this will be reflected in strengthening employability outcomes. Graduates will combine strong disciplinary knowledge with the ability to think critically, creatively and responsibly. Whatever their programme of study, they will demonstrate ethical judgement, responsible leadership and a clear sense of purpose, enabling them to address complex economic, environmental and social challenges and to adapt successfully across their careers, both in the UK and internationally.

AI Knowledge and Capability with Technology
All programmes will equip graduates with the knowledge, skills and judgement required to work confidently and responsibly in digitally enabled and AI-augmented workplaces. Graduates will understand how to apply AI and digital tools to enhance decision-making, productivity and innovation, while critically evaluating their limitations and societal implications and using them ethically, transparently and inclusively.

Teaching Excellence
The Business School will be recognised for research-led teaching that is intellectually rigorous, research-informed and designed for flexibility and scale. Our teaching practices will evolve to support diverse modes of delivery, including online, blended, work-based and transnational provision, while maintaining a consistently high-quality student experience. We will produce efficient, well-supported teaching models that create capacity for portfolio diversification without compromising academic standards.

Staff and Student Experience
We will offer a flexible and supportive education environment which is inclusive by design in which both students and staff can thrive. Students will experience a sense of belonging, clarity and support throughout their studies, while staff will be empowered, recognised and rewarded for their contributions to education and pedagogic research.

Distinctive, Sustainable and Market-Informed Portfolio
The Business School will offer a distinctive, sustainable and globally relevant education portfolio that reflects learner demand and employer needs. We will grow provision in degree apprenticeships, executive and professional education, online and blended programmes, and further internationalise our education offer through engagement with TNE, while focusing investment on areas of clear academic strength and market opportunities such as the Lifelong Learning Entitlement.
