About us

Our department is a diverse and inclusive community of faculty, students and partners working across our two campuses in Exeter and Penryn, Cornwall. We are committed to advancing theories and practice in our fields of expertise, to exploring novel ideas and developing collaborations to tackle the challenging future we have ahead of us, for example looking at how science and technology can help to facilitate innovation and entrepreneurial mind-sets.  
 
Each of our Sub-Departments has its distinctive identity and academic focus, and we also encourage highly collaborative, interdisciplinary approaches. Our research centres work across boundaries in this way, bringing together diverse expertise to address business and societal challenges, such as in Leadership, the Circular Economy, Digital Economy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Social Networks. 
 
Innovation and an entrepreneurial mindset also permeate our education as we develop the skills our students will need for the future of work. We have recently opened our new Creative Quadrant (CQ) building, an exciting maker-space designed for creative approaches to learning.
