Selecting Business School modules 2019/20 (Non-Business School Students)

If your programme structure allows, you may chose up to 30 credits each year from another College within the University.

In order to select a level one module*, please complete the following steps:

Complete OMS with an alternative module, from within your home College.
Requests for level one modules may only be made at the start of Term in September 2019. Full details on the process will be advertised during the summer.
Availability will be subject to demand and any places available at that point will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Changes to Term One modules will not be permitted after week two of teaching.
Please check to make sure the module you want to take fits with the rest of your timetable, before making any requests.

Selecting a Business School module through Exeter Modularity:

If you wish to select one of the below Business School modules, then you will be able to select these via Online Module Selection, through Exeter Modularity. The modules BEM2032, BEM2036, BEM2034 and BUS2001 are open to all 2nd years and finalists.

All other Business School modules please see further instructions below

Selecting a Business School module at level two or three*:

If a module has pre/co-requisities ensure you have completed the module pre-requisites, by checking the module descriptor.
Complete Online Module Selection (OMS) with an alternative module, from within your home College.
Send an email during the OMS period (18-29 March 2019) to the Business School with ‘Module Selection’ as the title.

Your email must contain the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your student number
  • Module code (you wish to take)
  • Module name (you wish to take)
  • Module code (you wish to drop)
  • Module name (you wish to drop)
Availability will be subject to demand and any places available will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Requests made after OMS closes on 29 March 2019 will not be considered and you will have to wait to see if any spaces are available when module changes are permitted at the start of the next academic year.
You will receive a reply from the Business School confirming if the module has been added, but we are unable to begin this process until OMS closes on 29 March 2019. We aim to reply to all requests by 26 April 2019.
Module change requests will not be completed during the summer and no waiting lists will be held during this time.

* NB – if you wish to select a module outside the level you will be studying at (i.e. you will be a Level Three student and wish to take a Level Two module), the above process does not apply. Requests can only be made after the Online Module Selection process has been completed, in September 2019. Full details on the process will be advertised during the summer.
