Further details

This Ph.D. research focuses on the conceptualisation of empowerment and its potential achievement through entrepreneurial activities within a partnership between Cool Earth (CE), a UK-based international conservation charity, and indigenous forest communities in Peru. The researcher is currently analysing NGO internal documents relating to its strategy and programme reporting. She will complement this review with online interviews of NGO staff, and with six months of fieldwork among their indigenous partners in Peru next year. Léna will present the first results of her document analysis. In the second part of her talk, she will introduce her interview topic guides and her plans for fieldwork in Peru. She would appreciate your feedback on her methodological approach. Léna is a second year PhD candidate in the Business School, based in the Environment and Sustainably Institute in Penryn.
