Exeter joins Global Business School Network with aim of impacting sustainable development worldwide
The University of Exeter Business School has joined a global network of Business Schools addressing societal challenges worldwide through education and training.
The Global Business School Network brings together business schools with business, NGOs and governments with the aim of improving access to quality, locally relevant management and entrepreneurship education in emerging economies.
Over 100 leading business schools are GBSN members, and the network aligns closely to the University of Exeter Business School’s own core values of environmental sustainability, responsible leadership and technological innovation.
Membership of the network will help the Business School impact sustainable development worldwide through management and entrepreneurship education, research and community engagement for the developing world.
Programmes undertaken through the GBSN include meaningful developing world experiences for learners, collaborative faculty research to generate new knowledge about the challenges in emerging economies and peer networking.
Professor Alexandra Gerbasi, Dean of the University of Exeter Business School, said: “We are delighted to be joining a network that will help us to deliver solutions to some of the pressing challenges facing emerging economies, through our research, teaching and values of environmental sustainability, responsible leadership and technological transformation.
