You’ll spend the first two years studying at the University of Exeter, followed by a semester-long internship or semester of study at a European university, before spending the remaining year and a half at EBS Business School in Germany. Successful completion of the total study period of 4 years (8 semesters) will lead to the award of two Bachelor degrees:

During the first part of the programme, at the University of Exeter, you will gain a detailed understanding of the functional areas of business, and the relationship of management theories and practice. In addition to modules covering accounting, economics, marketing and human resource management, you will have the opportunity to develop a level of German language proficiency, and undertake an internship.

In the second part of the programme, at EBS Business School, you will study a range of modules encompassing management, marketing, finance, accounting and economics, with a choice of optional modules in semesters the final year. In addition, an integral aspect of EBS Business School is the unique “Studium Universale” modules, which aspire to produce leaders who have a heightened awareness of their social responsibility. To this end the curriculum at EBS also incorporates philosophical and ethical issues.

Year 1 Accounting I; Statistics for Business and Management; Economics for Management; Business and Society; Fundamentals of Marketing; Theory and Practice of Management; options*.
Year 2 Organisational Behaviour; Human Resource Management; Consumer Behaviour; Managerial Accounting; Operations Management; options*.
Year 3 Semester 1: 6 month internship supported by University of Exeter Career Zone and EBS, or study at choice of other European partner university (subject to availability/compatibility).

Semester 2: BSc General Management (IBS) 6th semester at EBS, taught in English. Modules include: Managing Strategy; Investment and Finance, Marketing; Accounting and Control; Economics; Business German; Studium Universale (modules dedicated to personal development).
Year 4 BSc General Management (IBS) 7th and 8th semester at EBS taught in English. Modules include: Managing People; Economics; Scientific Methods; Socio-Cultural Impact; Business German; Bachelor thesis.

*Normally at least 30 credits of German language must be taken throughout Year 1 and 2.

Entry is via transfer from BA Business and Management – selection process during years 1 and 2. No previous German language ability is required.
