Outreach: working with schools and colleges

Outreach in the Business School

We play an increasingly active role in the South West region through a varied programme of activities. Our outreach events are targeted towards a variety of ages from Key Stage 2 to Post-16, and we are always happy to discuss bespoke events and school visits. The Business School is committed to recognising the potential of the most talented students from the ‘widest pool’, irrespective of background. Through our outreach programme, we aim to raise educational and career aspirations as well as encouraging and inspiring an interest in our many subjects:

Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, Operations…

In addition, we also support central outreach activities in particular; the Exeter Progression to Business and Management programme and Realising Opportunities.

Outreach activities include:

Taster Days, In-School Workshops, Student Shadowing, Mentoring Scheme, Primary School visits, Residentials and our Annual Year 12 Economics and Business Conference.

We are always interested in developing new partnerships with schools and colleges as well as responding to requests for bespoke activities.
